blood compact monument
Commemorating the very first treaty between Filipinos and Spaniards, the Blood Compact Monument features life-sized statues sculpted by National Artist and Boholano, Napoleon Abueva. The “Sandugo” between Miguel Lopez de Legazpi and Datu Sikatuna in 1565 marked the friendship, and later colonization, of the Filipinos under the Spaniards.
